Caught red handed

Girl J and I discovered one of our guilty pleasures that we never went public about.

We both LOVE Spaghettios. The plain ones, the ones with meatballs, AND the ones with hotdogs. I have never found someone that loved all three like I do.

Yep, she caught me with the can on my desk. I normally turn the label around so that it looks like soup.

Basically I never came out of the closet because I was so tired of people talking about how disgusting they were. While trying to heat/eat them.

I never quite understood why people feel the compulsion to discuss how much they hate a food while someone else is trying to eat that very food.

Sort of like the Twinkie hecklers that used to hang out at the twinkie booth at the fair. And as we were taking our first bite and trying to enjoy our twinkiegasm they felt compelled to loudly comment on how disgusting they were.

So, come out of the closet with Girl J and me, what's your secret guilty food pleasure????

I've never had the kind with hot dogs. But I have had the other both plain and with meatballs. I'm also a spaghettio junkie. Yep. And I'm Italian, which is just horrifying to my family...but sprinkle some cheese and those o's are tasty even as they start getting cold.

I like fried SPAM sandwiches, on toast with cheese. I never make them unless I know that I have time to air out the house afterwards. And I agree with you. The frequent "OMG-you're-eating-that-how-gross" comments actually made me adjust my lunch schedule to avoid certain 'fragile' people.

Ok, I must confess, I do make fun of J for his love of Spam. He and the hubster have had spam breakfasts in the past and I tease them mercilessly. But I lived with them. I think that makes the teasing ok. Right????

Hi Christy. Thanks for stopping by! I'm Italian too. I think my Grandma turns over in her grave every time I open a can.

Vienna Sausages. Good stuff. Just open the can and grab a fork and sit on the couch and watch tv and eat the whole can. Add a beer and you've got an instant party. It's also important get as much juice soaked into them as possible.

Along with the O's I love red rice. Tomato soup mixed with rice and bake. If you throw a pork chop on top while baking (brown first) the juices get in there with it.......serious comfort food. Thanks for busting us out of the O closet. I will be coming back to see what other put in here but Jay's response nearly had me pissing my pants.

I can't really think of anything weird or gross right now. Ummm...I'm on a brown rice and tofu kick right now, and even I think that's a pretty strange craving. (I blame it on my vegan kid!)

How about we throw some Moosetracks in there?

I've never liked spaghettio's. The texture just creeps me out. Since I eat things like haggis and curried goat, I'm the last person to complain about someone else's food though.

Oh... and fried spam and eggs for breakfast? What a taste sensation!

I love peanut butter and banana sandwiches. I didn't think that was too weird until someone said Ew once. I also break up pretzels into a chocolate sundae. I love the salt and chocolate and cream together.

I'm really hungry now.

hmmm...secret guilty pleasure is definitely Little Debbie Oatmeal pies. I am sad to admit that about twice a year I am fully compelled to purchase a box (the BIG ones) and scarf it down in a matter of a couple of days (I do have some decorum).

This post made me hungry for junk food, and hubby has duty today. Good combination...yay!!

Speghetti-Os are awesome! Hoop and I bought a whole case from Sams. Then the cabinet guys stole it. STOLE our speghetti-o's! See, you two are not alone.

My guilty pleasure are blueberry mini-muffins and fruit rollups. Mmmm.
